Initiation of a task force

The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the Tier-1 supplier recognized that the Start of Production (SOP) of the product was significantly at risk. This could be due to technical challenges, supply chain delays, or quality issues. Key issues included the maturity of the developed control unit software, procedural gaps, as well as performance and runtime issues. In light of these challenges, the OEM and Tier-1 decided to establish a task force to promptly address the situation and ensure the SOP.

A recommendation from the OEM for Sensified

The OEM recommends the Tier-1 supplier to approach Sensified as the solution provider for the task force project. Sensified has proven to be a competent and efficient partner in crisis situations in the past.

Introduction of Sensified to the Tier-1

On the same day, a team from Sensified was introduced to the Tier-1 supplier on-site. This initial meeting aimed to understand the challenges and plan the next steps. Sensified presented their methodology, past successes, and potential approaches to problem-solving.

Selection of the task force team

Within just one day, Sensified assembled a specialized task force team. This team consisted of experts with the necessary expertise and experience to resolve the identified problems quickly and efficiently.

Productivity and initial results

Within just one week, the task force team from Sensified was fully productive. The team immediately began addressing the most critical issues and successfully resolved the first release-blocking tickets that could jeopardize the SOP. The entire task force will last for a total of three months. During this time, all urgent issues were identified and resolved to secure the SOP.

Duration and follow-up

After completing the intensive three-month phase, the key players of the task force will remain on-site for an additional six months to monitor and ensure the start of production. They ensured that the implemented solutions are sustainable and provided support for any further issues that arose.

The conclusion of this project

This structured and rapid approach effectively addressed the risk to SOP and ensured the start of production. The combination of quick responsiveness and long-term support ensured the successful transition of the product into series production.
